Donald Trump is so disgusted with Ted Cruz’s unsavory political antics that he may tap him as his running mate should he win the nomination.
Confused? So are we.
Asked by conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt on Thursday whether he would rule out Cruz as his vice presidential pick, Trump said he had “nothing against [Cruz]. It was sort of a sad thing that happened, but I’ve always liked him,” adding that he’s “focused on New Hampshire” at the moment.
The comment come just hours after the billionaire businessman threatened to sue Cruz, slamming the Texas senator for stealing Monday’s Iowa caucuses.
Last month, Trump told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos that Cruz was “a nasty guy. Nobody likes him.”
