Dueling ‘American Dad!’: Adult Swim Encore Beats TBS Premiere

Seth MacFarlane’s animated show moved over from Fox to Turner on Monday

Apparently, the premiere of “American Dad!” on Turner was so complex that viewers had to watch it twice.

The TBS debut of the Seth MacFarlane animated series, which previously aired on Fox, drew a total of 2.5 million viewers — though only 1.1 million of them tuned in for the initial 9 p.m. telecast.
