Ratings: NBC Scores Total Viewer Victory Over ABC Despite ‘DWTS’

It didn’t hurt that “Taken” faced a “Scorpion” rerun on CBS

NBC won Monday outright, even with a new “Dancing With the Stars” episode over on ABC.

Of course, NBC wasn’t without its own ammo: “The Voice” carried the broadcaster to a pretty comfortable victory in the key 18-49 demographic. It was “Taken’s” outright win at 10 p.m. that sealed primetime for NBC, however. The TV adaptation grew from last week, thanks at least in part to CBS airing a rerun of “Scorpion” this week.

NBC was first among the English-language broadcasters in ratings with a 1.9 rating/7 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 8.6 million, according to preliminary numbers. “The Voice” at 8 scored a 2.3/8 and 10.3 million viewers. “Taken” at 10 posted a 1.1/4 and 5.2 million viewers.

ABC was second in ratings with a 1.4 and in viewers with 8.5 million. “DWTS” at 8 earned a 1.6/6 and 11 million viewers. At 10, “Quantico” managed a 0.8/3 and 3.5 million viewers.

CBS was third in ratings with a 1.0 and in viewers with 5 million. Following reruns, “Superior Donuts” at 9 had a 1.1/4 and 5.3 million viewers. At 9:30, “The Great Indoors” got a 0.9/3 and 4.1 million viewers. Another repeat followed.

Fox was fourth in ratings with a 0.7 and in viewers with 3 million. At 8, “24: Legacy” received a 0.9/3 and 3.2 million viewers. “APB” at 9 settled for a 0.6/2 and 2.8 million viewers.

Telemundo was fifth in ratings with a 0.6/2, but seventh in total viewers with 1.3 million viewers.

Univision and CW tied for sixth in ratings, both with a 0.5/2. Univision was fifth in total viewers with 1.62 million, CW was sixth with 1.57 million.

For CW, “Supergirl” at 8 had a 0.7/3 and 2.2 million viewers. At 9, “Jane the Virgin” got a 0.4/1 and 938,000 viewers.
