Emmy Quickie: Stop Calling Finn Wittrock ‘F-ing Evil’ (Video)

Actor starred as Rudolph Valentino and Tristan Duffy on fifth season of FX’s “American Horror Story”

“American Horror Story” star Finn Wittrock said people on the street often call him “f—ing evil” because of the characters that he has played on the hit FX show.

“I used to be offended when people would come up to me and say … literally, I was meeting a director the other day at a restaurant and tried to put on a good show and be professional, and this waitress comes up and says, ‘You are so f–king evil!’” Wittrock told TheWrap. “I was like, could you please give this poor person some context of what you are talking about?”

In Season 5, “American Horror Story: Hotel,” Wittrock starred as both model Tristan Duffy and legend Rudolph Valentino. In the previous season, Wittrock played a twisted “freak” named Dandy Mott.

“There’s everything you could ask for — there’s blood, there’s really scary stuff, there’s naked people, there’s some great actors and actresses — it’s definitely a show that you have to expect the unexpected,” he said. “There’s all these shows that are all self-contained — they are 10 episodes and that’s it. And Ryan Murphy was really kind of the first to really do that.”

And another plus is that the cast on the series is extremely close. Wittrock admitted he was tight with Denis O’Hare and Lady Gaga, whom he praised during his interview.

“This season was a lot of Denis O’Hare, Lady Gaga,” he added. “She’s amazing. Everywhere you turn, there’s another amazingly talented person.”
