Entertainment One Films International president Harold van Lier is leaving the company, eOne announced on Monday while sharing its decision to consolidate the international sales operation with its film production arm.

Following his departure, Charlotte van Weede, senior vice president of international sales for eOne Films International and vice president Anick Poirier will continue to direct international sales.

“We wish to thank Harold for his leadership in building out our International sales capabilities. We wish him the best as he takes on his next challenge,” Steve Bertram, president of eOne’s Global Film Group said in a statement.

The company’s decision to fold international sales into its film production office was made to further support the eOne’s increased focus on internally produced films, as well as ensure sales teams are best-placed to maximize the potential of those productions.

Entertainment One, also a distributor, previously produced Jake Gyllenhaal thriller “Enemy,” and is producing upcoming horror release, “Insidious: Chapter 3.”

“As our focus on eOne financed and produced films continues to develop, our global sales efforts and production strategy need to be fully aligned. In bringing the International Sales teams together with the Film Production business, we will be best-positioned to offer our distribution partners a portfolio of high quality films that are guided by eOne’s international market expertise,” Bertram said.
