Fandango Partners With Hulu to Launch Its First Ever VOD Channel

CES 2015: The deal was announced out of this year’s Consumer Electronics Show in Vegas

Fandango is partnering with Hulu to release its first ever subscription video-on-demand channel.

The channel will begin streaming during the first quarter of 2015. The announcement was made Tuesday at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.

“We are excited to deliver our original video programming to Hulu subscribers,” Fandango President Paul Yanover said in a statment. “Our Hulu partnership helps us extend Fandango video content onto new platforms, meeting a growing demand for premium movie-related content among moviegoers and Hulu fans alike.”

The channel will allow Hulu subscribers to view”FrontRunners,” hosted by Fandango’s Chief Correspondent Dave Karger featuring actors such as Michael Keaton, Emma Stone and Benedict Cumberbatch. “Weekend Ticket,” which recommends movies weekly, and “Reel Kids,” where youth give their take on movies can also be viewed.

Before the partnership, Fandango acquired the film content and trailers-focused MovieClips on YouTube.
