Former Fox News Anchor Eric Bolling’s Son Found Dead at 19

Eric Chase Bolling Jr. died Friday night

Eric Chase Bolling Jr., the son of fired Fox News anchor Eric Bolling, died Friday at the age of 19.

Bolling, Jr. died in Boulder, Colorado, where he was a student at the University of Colorado-Boulder. He was Eric Bolling’s only son with wife Adrienne.

“Adrienne and I are devastated by the loss of our beloved son Eric Chase last night. Details still unclear. Thoughts, prayers appreciated,” the elder Bolling tweeted Saturday.

No cause of death has been determined, but Bolling tweeted that there are “no sign of self harm” in son’s death.

“We are very saddened to hear of the passing of Eric Bolling’s son,” Fox News said in a statement. “Eric Chase was a wonderful young man and our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Bolling family.”

The senior Bolling was let go from Fox News earlier Friday following a sexual harassment investigation that occurred after the former host of “The Five” and “The Fox News Specialists” was accused of sending lewd texts and photos of his genitals to some of his co-workers. The cable news network also decided to cancel “The Specialists.”

Many of Bolling’s friends and former colleagues tweeted his condolences for the loss of his son.

Journalist Yashar Ali first reported Bolling Jr.’s death. The two have a history, as Ali broke the news of Bolling’s alleged sexting. Bolling sued Ali for defamation, seeking $50 million in damages. Ali told TheWrap he wasn’t concerned about the legal threat and would “enjoy the challenge.”

But on Saturday, Ali called Bolling an “incredibly devoted” dad and his son’s death “heartbreaking.”
