Woody Thompson’s Eyeboogie is expanding, with the hire of Tom Herschko to head its TV development.

The first to hold the position at the TV and digital-media production company, Herschko will be tasked with expanding the Eyeboogie brand beyond its current pop-culture roots across traditional media, TV and digital platforms.

“We are looking to accelerate and diversify the shows we create in both TV and digital because the crossover between screens is finally becoming a reality and we are uniquely positioned to be a bigger player in both markets,” Thompson said in a statement.

Herschko began his career on NBC’s “Fear Factor” as an assistant to the show’s executive producer David Hurwitz (“Million Second Quiz,” “Stars Earns Stripes”) and later as a producer.
