Fox News’ Chris Wallace Teases ‘Danger’ at GOP Debate

“What makes it such compelling television is that sense of, at the very least, uncertainty, and at the very most, danger,” Fox News Sunday host says

Security better be tight at Quicken Loans Arena on Thursday–Fox News’ Chris Wallace foreshadows “danger” on the GOP presidential debate stage.

“What makes it such compelling television is that sense of, at the very least, uncertainty, and at the very most, danger,” the Fox News Sunday host and co-moderator of the Fox debate told The New York Times.

His colleague Bret Baier, who along with Megyn Kelly will round out the moderator trio, said they won’t go easy on the candidates.

“If you look at last time, we got a lot of criticism from the right wing saying we were too tough, and I think that in the main, that’s O.K.,” Baier said. “How are you going to go up the against the Clinton machine if you can’t handle us?”

As TheWrap reported, there’s several face-offs likely to occur at the Fox News debate, including between the moderators and candidates.

The primetime debate airs at 9 p.m. ET while the candidates forum airs at 5 p.m. ET on Fox News.
