Fox News Host ‘Dead Serious’ About Opening Muslim Gay Bar Near Ground Zero Mosque

Greg Gutfeld: “I’ve already spoken to a number of investors, who have pledged their support in this bipartisan bid for understanding and tolerance”

Greg Gutfeld, the host of Fox News’ late night “Red Eye,” says he is “dead serious” about his plan to open a Muslim gay bar near the proposed mosque near Ground Zero.

Gutfeld announced the plan on his blog on Monday.

“I am planning to build and open the first gay bar that caters not only to the west, but also Islamic gay men,” Gutfeld wrote. “To best express my sincere desire for dialogue, the bar will be situated next to the mosque Park51, in an available commercial space."

“This is not a joke,” he continued. “I've already spoken to a number of investors, who have pledged their support in this bipartisan bid for understanding and tolerance.”

He later reiterated the plan on his show.

“As you know, the Muslim faith doesn't look kindly upon homosexuality, which is why I'm building this bar,” Gutfeld said. “It is an effort to break down barriers and reduce deadly homophobia in the Islamic world.”

He added: “If you disagree with me, you are a racist homophobe. Yes you are.”

Gutfeld amended his original post with this: “Remember, kids, I'm dead serious on this one. (You can tell by the lack of humor in this particular piece).”

I suppose when you host a show that airs at 3:00 a.m., you’re going to be dead serious about any idea — especially if it gets you a little national attention.
