(Spoiler alert: Do not keep reading if you haven’t seen this week’s episode of “Game of Thrones”)

This week’s episode of “Game of Thrones” picked up right where last week left off, with Jon Snow (Kit Harington) just as surprised as anybody that he has risen from the dead.

Liam Cunningham once again showed why Davos has become a fan favorite when he gives Jon some comforting words, but reminds him that a man coming back from the dead is “completely f—ing mad.” The wildlings seem to agree, as Tormund (Kristofer Hivju) tells Jon they think he is a god.

The visions of the past Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright) experiences with the Three-Eyed Raven (Max Von Sydow) once again proved to be highlight of the episode, as they saw a young Ned Stark square off against Ser Arthur Dayne at the Tower of Joy.

The resulting swordfight was spectacular, with Dayne cutting through all of Ned’s men before they face off in single combat. But while Ned has always said he beat Dayne, Bran sees that one of Ned’s men manages to stab Dayne in the back just as he is about to kill Ned.

Ned heads for the tower, But we don’t get to see whom Ned is going to rescue, as the Three-Eyed Raven pulls him back to the present.

We were also treated to another excellent Varys (Conleth Hill) threatening people in a throne room scene. He finds a Sons of the Harpy collaborator and offers her a massive bag of silver and a fresh start in a new city in exchange for information.

Through her, he learns that the former slave masters of the cities Daenerys conquered are paying to support the Sons.

Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) also he shared an incredibly awkward–yet hilarious–scene with Missandei (Nathalie Emmanuel) and Grey Worm (Jacob Anderson) in which he tries to get to know them better with no luck.

Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) and Cersei (Lena Headey) get back into the thick of things when they strong arm their way onto the Small Council, with a little help from Mountain-stein (Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson).

They demand action against the High Sparrow (Jonathan Pryce) and vengeance for their daughter, but the Council walks out on them. Later, Tommen (Dean-Charles Chapman) finally starts to stand up for himself, but still can’t overcome the High Sparrow.

Arya (Maisie Williams) continues her Daredevil-style training at the House of Black and White, and manages to show some improvement. And when she drinks from the House’s poisoned water, proving she has become No One, she regains her sight.

In Winterfell, Ramsay is trying to secure the loyalty of House Umber, who prove their loyalty to the new Warden of the North by offering Ramsay a captive Rickon Stark (Art Parkinson).

Back at The Wall, Jon must carry out the executions of the men who betrayed him, including Thorne (Owen Teale) and Ollie (Brenock O’Connor), his former squire. He and Thorne share some kind of understanding as Thorne speaks his final words, just before Jon carries out the sentence by hanging.

But seeing as the Night’s Watch vows only end with death, Snow decides that he has fulfilled his part of the bargain and relieves himself of command.
