‘Grandfathered,’ ‘The Grinder’ Get 6 More Scripts Each From Fox

Sitcoms air back to back on Tuesdays ahead of horror-comedy “Scream Queens”

Grinder Grandfathered

Fox has ordered six more scripts apiece for new Tuesday comedies “Grandfathered” and “The Grinder.”

The decently rated debut episodes of both half-hour comedies have risen about 45 percent versus their live plus same day deliveries, the network boasted. Fox also touted that both shows deliver upscale, diverse audiences.

“Grandfathered,” which stars John Stamos and Josh Peck, is soon to feature guest stars Criss Angel, Bob Saget and Dave Coulier.

Rob Lowe and Fred Savage-show “The Grinder” will welcome Christina Applegate, Jason Alexander and Timothy Olyphant.

New episodes of “Grandfathered” and “The Grinder” air on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET and 8:30, respectively.

The two sitcoms serve as a lead-in for Ryan Murphy‘s horror comedy “Scream Queens.”

Stamos on Thursday was charged with DUI related to an incident in June in Beverly Hills. The actor faces a possible six months in jail.
