Greg Berlanti is developing a new series for “Lifetime,” the network announced Friday.

Berlanti is teaming with “The Magicians” executive producer Sera Gamble to develop “You,” based on the novel by Caroline Kepnes.

The drama is described as a 21st century love story about an obsessive, yet brilliant twenty-something who uses the hyper connectivity of today’s technology to make the woman of his dreams fall in love with him.

Sarah Schechter, Leslie Morgenstein and Gina Girolamo serve as executive producers.

The network also ordered new reality series “The Pop Game,” a spinoff of Lifetime’s “The Rap Game.” The series will follow Timbaland as he works with five aspiring young vocalists. Celebrity guests and mentors will include JoJo, Macy Gray, Nelly Furtado and Jordin Sparks.

Lifetime has also greenlighted relationship competition series “My Partner Knows Best,” hosted by Jason Biggs and Jenny Mellon. On the show, married couples face off in a series of hilarious challenges based on real-life relationship obstacles.
