Series also elevates three cast members to regulars
“Looking” will keep its eyes open for another season.
The HBO dramedy, about three friends in San Francisco who explore the fun and sometimes overwhelming options available to a new generation of gay men, has been given the go-ahead for a second season.
The series has also elevated a trio of cast members to regular status – Lauren Weedman as Doris, Raúl Castillo as Richie and Russell Tovey as Kevin.
“Looking,” which stars Jonathan Groff, Frankie J. Alvarez and Murray Bartlett, has scored modest ratings for the network, but hit a series high with its most recent airing on Sunday, drawing 519,000 viewers with its initial airing and 749,000 viewers over multiple airings.
