Hollywood stars are obsessed with Netflix’s new true crime series “Making a Murderer,” and have been tweeting praise for the series ever since it was released on Dec. 18.
The docuseries tells the story of Steven Avery who was charged with the murder of Teresa Halbach. Avery, who previously served 18 years in prison for a sexual assault crime he did not commit, maintained throughout the trial that he believed the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Department had framed him.
Outraged viewers on Twitter have been criticizing Manitowoc police for how the case was handled, and calling for justice for Avery, whom the series suggests is innocent.
“Outraged after watching all 10 episodes of #MakingAMurderer – a scathing indictment of law officers in #ManitowocCounty #Wisconsin,” actress Mia Farrow tweeted on Sunday.

Making a Murderer is disturbing as hell. I feel it’s an important documentary. Tremendous respect for Moira Demos and Laura Ricciardi

After reviewing the evidence, I’ve concluded that the one responsible for framing Steven Avery is the ghost of his cat. #MakingAMurderer
