With Lewis’ Brody behind her, Claire Danes looks ahead to Pakistan and new dangers
While we're still three months away from the Season 4 premiere of Showtime's “Homeland,” the network decided to start teasing fans now with a “First Look” trailer.
Season 4 will mark the show's first season without Damian Lewis‘ Nicholas Brody, who served as both villain and love interest for Claire Danes throughout the first 36 episodes. In other words, it serves as a great potential jumping on point for new viewers.
If the teaser is any indication, the new season will feature even more action and excitement than before. More than any prior season's trailer, Season 4 makes Claire Danes look like the Jack Bauer of “Homeland.” Howard Gordon has helmed both shows, and it looks like the revival of “24” this summer has influenced the tone of “Homeland” Season 4.
Of course, this is all based on a single one-minute teaser, so really very little is known. What is clear is that Danes is heading to Pakistan with Mandy Patinkin, where she'll get to interact with new faces like Surah Sharma and Corey Stoll.
Season 4 of “Homeland” premieres on Showtime on October 5.
