‘Horrible Bosses 2’ New Trailer Proves That Stupid Crime Probably Doesn’t Pay (Video)

Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis and Charlie Day are in over their heads with a terrible “kidnaping” plot, and Chris Pine, Jamie Foxx and Jennifer Aniston aren’t helping

Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis and Charlie Day haven’t gotten any better in “Horrible Bosses 2,” but they have upped the ante. After getting screwed over by a ruthless businessman, played by Christoph Waltz, they decide to get their revenge by kidnapping his son (Chris Pine).

Things take a turn for the horrible when Pine turns the tables and gets involved in the crime himself. Throw in Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Aniston and Kevin Spacey from behind bars, and these inept criminals have more advice and distractions than they can handle.

The latest trailer for the upcoming comedy sequel emphasizes both comedy and high-flying action. Bateman, Day and Sudeikis are all consistently in their wheelhouses as far as the type of characters they’re portraying, and that familiarity makes for easy comedy between the three veterans.

As crazy as these three are, considering the depths to which they are willing to go to buy their business back, they’re easily outmatched in the trailer by the returning Foxx as their criminal ally, and Pine as their victim/accomplice.

“Horrible Bosses 2” was directed by Sean Anders. He wrote the screenplay with John Morris from a story by two of “Horrible Bosses” screenwriters, John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein. Produced by Morris, Brett Ratner and Jay Stern, Warner Bros. Pictures will release the film to theaters on Wednesday, Nov. 26.
