Howard Kurtz has reason to be buzzing today as his Fox News show “MediaBuzz” scored its highest rating ever on Sunday.

The Sunday morning media analysis program — which goes head-to-head with his former CNN show “Reliable Sources” at 11 a.m. ET — drew 1,294,000 viewers and 300,000 25-54 demo viewers.

Kurt’z program was the top-rated cable news show in the demo for the entire day Sunday.

Sunday’s program featured an interview with Fox Business Network’s Melissa Francis, who talked about the issues she dealt with when trying to report on Obamacare while working for CNBC.

In comparison, “Reliable Sources” with Brian Stelter averaged 415,000 total viewers and 86,000 demo viewers.

In addition to hosting “MediaBuzz” on Sundays, Kurtz frequently appears as a guest on Fox News’ daytime and primetime programming while also writing about media for FoxNews.com. He left CNN for Fox News in June of last year.
