‘Ice Age: Collision Course’ Trailer Teases the End of an Era (Video)

The fifth movie in the franchise hits theaters on July 22

In the new trailer for “Ice Age: Collision Course,” the Ice Age comes to an end as a meteor shower hits the world.

Once again, we see Scrat being up to no good as his acorn accidentally catapults him into the universe, where he also accidentally sets of a series of cosmic events which send off meteor showers to earth down below. Sid, Manny, Diego and the rest of the clan leave their homes in order to save themselves.

“Ice Age: Collision Course” opens July 22 and stars returning cast members Ray Romano, Denis Leary, John Leguizamo, Queen Latifah, Seann William Scott, Josh Peck, Simon Pegg, Keke Palmer, Wanda Sykes and Jennifer Lopez. Additional cast members include Stephanie Beatriz, Adam DeVine, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Max Greenfield, Jessie J, Nick Offerman, Melissa Rauch, Michael Strahan and Neil deGrasse Tyson.

The fifth film in the “Ice Age” franchise is directed by Mike Thurmeier and produced by Lori Forte.
