ABC Double-Pumping 'Pumpkin,' Pushing 'Hank'
Good grief, "Hank"! You're being pre-empted by Charlie Brown.
ABC has decided to give viewers a double dose of "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown," airing a half-hour version of the holiday classic on Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 8 p.m. in place of the struggling Kelsey Grammer sitcom "Hank."
The expanded hourlong edition of "Great Pumpkin" will still air the night before, Oct. 27, at 8 p.m. But ABC schedulers apparently think the Peanuts gang could make a better lead-in for "The Middle" than "Hank."
For now, this is a one-time only pre-emption. Still no word on whether ABC will stick with "Hank" during the November sweeps, or possibly replace it with comedy repeats.

It would better if the Charlie Brown Peanuts Halloween Special were Hank's lead in show,though the only reason Hank is bombing is no former Frasier co-star apperances i.m.h.o.

I may be part of a minority here, but I still say "HANK" deserves more time to grow. ABC wants to double-aire "THE GREAT PUMPKIN," that's alright, I like Charlie Brown and Snoopy, too. But, I certainly hope those of us that appreciate Kelsey Grammer's latest attempt become more vocal over the next couple of weeks. It's a fact that some of the best-remembered sitcoms were some of the slow-starters. Give "HANK" a chance!

I hope there is an announcement after the finals are released today that they are rerunning last night's 4 star episode of MODERN FAMILY at 8p next Wednesday instead of HANK, although I am guessing since they are announcing plans for 2 weeks from now, they would have already announced it for next week, but one can dream :)
Maybe they could run the music video after the episode (although I guess they's have to eliminate inventory or promos to fit that in)
