CBS is showing a little love to "Accidentally on Purpose."

The network has ordered five more episodes of the Jenna Elfman half-hour, insiders confirmed Tuesday. That's short of a full-season pickup but still a modest vote of confidence in the series.

Critics were mixed in their reviews of "AOP," but viewership has been steady. It's been retaining between 80-90 percent of its "How I Met Your Mother" lead-in. Last night, it delivered its best ratings since its premiere (though a CBS affiliate carried Monday Night Football, potentially skewing the preliminary fast nationals).

"AOP" is from CBS Television Studios.

With "AOP" extended, the only CBS newcomer still on the bubble is "Three Rivers." As TheWrap has noted before, however, that series is a dead show walking and, if logic and past history is any guide, it has very little chance of living beyond its initial 13-episode order.

Three Rivers has only played in it's time slot here in Central time, twice. It's been bumped and pushed out due to the game going over. My DVR records something other than Three Rivers and CBS wonders why it might be lagging in ratings? Come on Exec at CBS, what's really going on? Does a mom sitting at home trying to watch a very interesting show, awesome storyline and educational, (Donors) get it and you don't? Give the show a chance and it will deliver. You cancelled The Unit, Moonlight, and others that I loved and now, a really good, to the heart show, (no pun intended) comes along with so many options to explore, be patient. Sunday night is brutal with tv, all the shows getting bumped to a long game. Isn't that how The Unit was dropped? It played after 11 or midnight, week after week.

Maybe put reruns of comedy's on Sunday night after the game and don't try to have a great lineup while football's on.

Please give Three Rivers the same chance that this show is being given. It is a very good show and it's getting every episode. It was placed in a bad time slot for a new show and even it's showing on a Saturday was still up against sports. You know the fan base is there. Please give it the chance it deserves!

I am extremely upset that CBS has ordered 5 more episodes of this comedy. it is very boring to watch. As a matter of fact, this comedy is an insult to the intelligence and to women of all ages. After watching the promos, my family has decided to avoid this show.

Three Rivers is a refreshing, riveting, compelling, heartfelt and exciting medical drama with brilliant actors who shine every week. Each episode gets better and better. Three Rivers deserves a full season pick up. It's really unfortunate that Three Rivers has a Sunday night time slot. In the last four episodes, two of the episodes have been severely delayed due to overtime football games. How can CBS expects to gain more new viewers when Three Rivers does not air on time? Please give Three Rivers and its talented cast a chance to prove what a fantastic drama this is. Perhaps, Three Rivers' difficult time slot could be changed to a different night on CBS, with more promotions. Thank you

Painful. This show is painful to watch. It's horrid. I lasted 3 minutes, just long enough to watch Jenna Elfman stick a tube of lipstick in her cleavage and try to apply it. Just who is it that CBS thinks is the audience for this crap? Not that what's on up against it is any better. I actually turn off the set rather than watch this bilge.

Srsly, CBS. You might wanna rethink this.
