“The Sin Seer” follows a woman with the ability to see into people’s souls, read minds and detect lies. She uses these gifts to solve crimes and other mysteries, bringing closure where there was none. When her latest case opens doors to her own past and that of her new partner (Washington), even she can’t see what lies ahead.

Paul D. Hannah wrote and will direct “The Sin Seer,” which he’s also producing along with Angela White through his Overflow Entertainment banner.

Production starts later this month in Wilmington, North Carolina.

“The Sin Seer” finds Washington reteaming with Anderson nearly 20 years since they co-starred together in Spike Lee‘s “Clockers.”

After a seven year hiatus, Washington recently made a triumphant return to ABC’s hit series “Grey’s Anatomy,” in which he reprised his role as Dr. Preston Burke. Washington earned rave reviews for his portrayal of Beltway sniper John Allen Muhammad in “Blue Caprice,” and he’s also set to star in and executive produce another indie movie about a scary, headline-grabbing story — “Game Time Decision,” which explores the danger of concussions in football.

Washington recently co-starred alongside Yolonda Ross in John Sayles‘ drama “Go for Sisters” and he’ll soon be seen opposite Kate Beckinsale and Nick Nolte in the courtroom drama “The Trials of Cate McCall.
