Rockefeller Center is set for a super-busy December. Physically just behind its infamous New York City tree and a few stories above the ice skating rink, NBC’s Studio 8H will have quite a bit of buzz as well, as James Franco, Martin Freeman and Amy Adams are now set to host “SNL” episodes.

Joining them on stage as respective musical guest will be Nicki Minaj, Charlie XCX and One Direction, “Saturday Night Live” revealed Thursday.

Franco’s third stint as host, where he will plug the Christmas Day release “The Interview,” kicks off the run on Dec. 6. The show will be Minaj’s second turn as musical guest, when she will plug Dec. 15’s “The Pinkprint.”

A week later is Freeman’s turn — his hosting debut of the long-running sketch comedy show. Four days after the live effort, Freeman’s “The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies” hits theaters. The Dec. 13 show also marks Charlie XCX’s “Saturday Night Live” debut.

A week later, Adams returns for her second show as host, making the rounds for Dec. 25 film “Big Eyes.” One Direction joins her on stage, the boy band’s third visit to the Lorne Michaels show.

“Saturday Night Live,” now in its 40th season, is produced in association with Broadway Video. Michaels is creator and executive producer.

Cameron Diaz hosts this Saturday’s show with musical guest Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson.
