Horror film written by “Guardians of the Galaxy” director will premiere on March 17

In the first trailer for “The Belko Experiment,” the new horror film written by “Guardians of the Galaxy” director James Gunn, a group of employees really need to file a complaint with their human resources rep.

The film revolves around a torturous social experiment involving 80 Americans who get locked in a high-rise corporate office in Bogota. They are ordered by an unknown voice on an intercom to take part in a deadly game in which they must kill each other or be killed by devices implanted in their heads.

It stars John Gallagher Jr. of “10 Cloverfield Lane,” “Scandal’s” Tony Goldwyn and “True Detective’s” Adria Arjona. John C. McGinley and Josh Brener are also in the film, along with Michael Rooker of “Guardians of the Galaxy” and “Fruitvale Station’s” Melonie Diaz.

Greg McClean (“Wolf Creek”) directed. Gunn also produced the film along with “The Conjuring” producer Peter Safran. Jason Blum served as executive producer. The film was acquired by Orion and BH Tilt at the 2016 Toronto Film Festival.
