Janet Jackson Drops First Music Video in 7 Years: Watch ‘No Sleeep’ (Video)

The R&B song is the first single off of the singer’s upcoming album

Janet Jackson released her first music video in over seven years on Friday.

The single, “No Sleeep,” is a collaboration between the pop singer and the rapper J. Cole. The music video, which features the singer slinking through an empty mansion on a rainy night, debuted on the “Today” show.

Jackson also posted the video on Twitter with the caption, “I hope u enjoy watching this as much as we enjoyed making it.”

Jackson co-wrote “No Sleeep” with songwriting and production duo Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, who have been working with Jackson since her 1986 album “Control” and have collaborated with her on nine Billboard Hot 100 number one tracks.

Jackson teased the track and the new album in a video she shared on Twitter in May. “I promised you would hear it from my lips, and now you will,” the singer said in the video. “This year, new music, a new world tour, a new movement.”

The singer also announced her Unbreakable World Tour, which will run from August through November in support of her upcoming album.
