Janice Min, the former co-president and chief creative officer of the Hollywood Reporter, is joining Jeffery Katzenberg’s mobile video startup, New TV. While the new position has yet to be announced by the company, Min shared her hire on Tuesday via a Twitter post.

“Some news: I’m officially joining @megwhitman and Jeffrey Katzenberg’s new venture on Monday,” she wrote. “So YES – you can assume there will be news programming (Hollywood, political and more) on the platform. Stay tuned…”

Since leaving the Hollywood Reporter in 2017, Min has spent her time working as a consultant for Valence Media and, most recently,  NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment. Now she will take her expertise to help with the launch of New TV, an upcoming video service that will focus on acquiring and producing premium short-form content.

Founded by Katzenberg and headed by former Hewlett Packard CEO Meg Whitman, the startup has already raised $1 billion from big-name investors such as 21st Century Fox, Disney, NBCUniversal, Viacom, and Warner Media.

“It is exciting to see Hollywood embracing this new technology distribution platform built for the way we watch today,” Katzenberg said during the funding announcement. “NewTV will access the best talent and intellectual property for this next era in entertainment. We are already seeing tremendous interest from Hollywood’s top talent.”

The service will have a two-tier pricing model: an $8 per month option that doesn’t include advertising and a $5 per month priced tier that has limited ads. Katzenberg is expected to launch the service either late 2019 or early 2020.
