Jennifer Lawrence Suggests Hurricanes Are ‘Mother Nature’s Rage and Wrath’ at Trump Win (Video)

“I’ve heard things and seen things on TV in my own country that devastate me and make me sick,” the “mother!” actress says

Jennifer Lawrence suggested that Mother Nature is punishing the United States with Hurricanes Harvey and Irma because of electing Donald Trump to office and his stance on man-made climate change.

“You know, it’s this new language that’s forming. I don’t even recognize it. It’s also scary to know that climate change is due to human activity, and we continue to ignore it, and the only voice that we really have is through voting,” Lawrence, who is promoting her new movie “mother!”, said in an interview with British Network Channel 4 on Wednesday.

Lawrence continued to say that “it was really startling” to see Trump in the presidency.

“You know, you’re watching these hurricanes now, and it’s really hard, especially while promoting this movie, not to feel Mother Nature’s rage and wrath,” she said. “You know, I’ve heard things and seen things on TV in my own country that devastate me and make me sick, and it’s just really confusing.”

She agreed that the rhetoric in the U.S. right now is “polarizing and upsetting. She doesn’t however, find Trump confusing. She said, “I think I know exactly what he is.”

In October 2015, Lawrence said electing Trump would be “the end of the world.” Looks like these hurricanes are playing right into her theory.
