It’s also the “Hunger Games” actress’ 24th birthday
Before she was Katniss Everdeen and an Oscar winner, Jennifer Lawrence was going out for pilot season just like every other struggling actress.
In 2007, Lawrence landed a bit part on a Comedy Central pilot called “Not Another High School Show,” which attempted to cash in on the success of such films as “Scary Movie” and “Not Another Teen Movie,” which were big in the early aughts.
In a newly uncovered clip from the pilot which was not picked up, “Community’s” Alison Brie did her best Sarah Michelle Gellar to play “Muffy the Vampire Slayer,” tasked with tracking down a teenage wolf.
For some reason, this leads her to attack the school’s janitor with a scary looking knife, and Lawrence shows up for a bit to get hit on by the injured custodian just before he dies.
Thankfully, it wasn’t long after this that Lawrence landed the lead role in 2008’s “Winter’s Bone,” leading to her first Oscar nomination, and the rest is history.
