‘Jeopardy’ Contestant Loses Game With Hilarious Final Answer (Video)

A losing contestant scrawls a crowd-pleasing final “Jeopardy” response

Comedian Ari Voukydis was stumped by the final “Jeopardy” question on Thursday’s show but would not go down without a witty repartee.

Host Alex Trebek asked the contestant, “In 1891, this European said, ‘Perhaps my factories will put an end to war sooner than your congresses.’”

Instead of leaving his slate blank, Voukydis — who has performed with the comic troupe Upright Citizens Brigade — decided to scrawl a facetious caption pointing to himself.

“‘His response was, ‘Who is this handsome gentleman,’” Trebek said. “Good for you, Ari!”

While the correct answer was Alfred Nobel, Voukydis won the crowd over with laughter.
