Jon Cryer Worried His Ducky Reprise on ‘Two and a Half Men’ Would Be Like ‘Fat Elvis’ (Video)

Star reprises his role from the classic John Hughes film “Pretty in Pink” for 12th-season premiere of CBS comedy

On the upcoming Halloween episode of CBS’s “Two and a Half Men,” entering its 12th and final season, star Jon Cryer is going to be offering a blast from his personal past. His character on the show will be wearing a very familiar costume, going as Cryer’s “Pretty in Pink” character, Ducky.

Cryer admitted on “Conan” to being concerned about seeing his famous teenage character from John Hughes‘ 1986 “Brat Pack” classic no longer a teen. His fears even had him comparing it to another famous comeback.

“It was like fat Elvis,” he told host Conan O’Brien on Wednesday night. “He was still wearing the outfit of thin Elvis, but he was not thin anymore.”

But Cryer was both surprised and pleased that it still worked pretty well. In fact, so well that when he went from the costume trailer to his personal trailer as a Warner Bros. tour went by, the people on the bus “went insane.”

Jon Cryer will go full Ducky for the season premiere of “Two and a Half Men,” Thursday at 9 p.m. ET on CBS. “Conan” airs weeknights at 11 p.m. ET on TBS.
