Josh Gad, Jimmy Fallon Hilariously Sing Auto-Tuned ‘Beauty and the Beast’ (Video)

Gad stars as LeFou in Disney’s live-action remake, out in theaters Friday

What could be better than Ariana Grande and John Legend’s remake of the “Beauty and the Beast” pop duet, originally sung by Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson? Josh Gad and Jimmy Fallon singing an auto-tuned version of it.

On Tuesday night’s episode of “The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon,” the actor played a “Box of Microphones” with the late night host, where both players draw a random card with Disney song titles on it and subsequently pick a microphone from a box where each microphone has a different vocal effect.

Gad first sang “Do You Want to Build a Snowman” from Disney’s “Let It Go” in a chipmunk voice, which had Fallon keeled over in laughter.

Fallon then sang, “Circle of Life” from “The Lion King,” but only did about 10 seconds of the song — much to the dismay of Gad.

“Why did you have to do so much less than I did?” He asked. “That was literally the teaser for the teaser!”

Then, Fallon and Gad proceeded to sing the same song together with one catch — the audio will change throughout the duet. And of course, they had to sing “Beauty and the Beast.”

The live-action remake, opening Friday, stars Gad as LeFou. Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, Ewan McGregor, Ian McKellen and Emma Thompson also star in the film directed by Bill Condon.
