Teyana Taylor, the actress made famous by Kanye West’s most recent music video “Fade,” has landed her next gig.

VH1 announced Wednesday that Taylor will recur on their upcoming scripted drama series “The Breaks,” and she will also appear on the network’s game show “Hip Hop Squares.”

The original “Breaks” film, which aired on VH1 in January, followed three young friends fulfilling their hip hop dreams in New York City in 1990. The series will continue to explore their triumph and heartbreak in trying to make their mark in a new and complex hip hop culture.

Taylor joins a cast that includes Afton Willamson, Wood Harris, Mack Wilds, Antoine Harris, David Call and Evan Handler, Melonie Diaz, Sinqua Walls and Ali Ahn.

The show is executive produced by Seith Mann and John J. Strauss.

Taylor rose to fame after West’s new music video for “Fade” was released during the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday. The video features Taylor dancing in a gym, eventually making out with NBA-star fiancé Iman Shumpert in the shower. And in the last few seconds of the video, she turns into a cat-faced humanoid.

Her past credits include “Brotherly Love,” “Madea’s Big Happy Family” and MTV’s “America’s Best Dance Crew: All Stars.”
