CBS has ordered drama “Doubt” to series, bringing a cast that includes Katherine Heigl and Laverne Cox to its 2016-2017 lineup.

“Doubt,” which also stars Steven Pasquale, Dulé Hill, Dreama Walker, Elliott Gould and Kobi Libii, follows a smart, chic, successful defense lawyer at a boutique firm who starts to fall for her charismatic client — who may or may not be guilty of a brutal crime.

The CBS Television Studios show will be executive produced by Tony Phelan, Joan Rater, Carl Beverly, Sarah Timberman and Adam Bernstein.

Bernstein will also direct.

CBS had previously ordered four new dramas to series and two new comedies, including the high-profile reboots “MacGyver” and “Training Day.”

“Pure Genius,” from “Friday Night Lights” and “Parenthood” executive producer Jason Katims, was also ordered. It was previously under the working title “Bunker Hill.”

On the comedy side, the Matt LeBlanc-led “Man With a Plan,” and “The Great Indoors” starring Joel McHale were ordered to series.
