Katie Holmes Joins Season 3 of Showtime’s ‘Ray Donovan’

She’ll be a “major guest star” on the Liev Schreiber series, cable channel touts

Katie Holmes is joining Showtime’s “Ray Donovan” for its third season in a “major guest starring role,” the pay-TV channel said on Tuesday.

“Dawson’s Creek’s” Joey Potter will play shrewd, chic businesswoman “Paige,” the daughter of billionaire producer Andrew Finney (Ian McShane), who enlists Ray’s (Liev Schreiber) services.

“Ray Donovan” is a hit for Showtime, and is its second highest-rated drama, trailing only “Homeland.” The 12-episode Season 3 is currently in production in Los Angeles.

In addition to Schreiber as the titular “fixer,” the cast also includes Paula Malcomson, Eddie Marsan, Dash Mihok, Steven Bauer, Katherine Moennig, Pooch Hall, Kerris Dorsey and Devon Bagby. “Ray Donovan” is a Showtime production; the series was created by Ann Biderman and is executive produced by Mark Gordon, Bryan Zuriff and David Hollander.

Holmes will next be seen in the feature film “Woman in Gold,” starring opposite Ryan Reynolds and Helen Mirren.
