Shondaland is developing an untitled nanny dramedy with “Scandal” stars Kerry Washington and Katie Lowes for ABC, TheWrap has learned.

Bess Wohl will write and executive produce alongside Washington, Lowes and Shondaland’s Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers. Lowes’ husband Adam Shapiro will also serve as an executive producer.

The hour-long project is described as an edgy and comedic upstairs-downstairs look at the insanity of modern child-rearing focuses on a clique of young nannies, a trio of interconnected families and their various support staffs, all trying to help the kids grow up when they haven’t quite grown up themselves.

This marks Shondaland’s fifth sale to the network this season. The company is also developing the “Romeo and Juliet” sequel “Still Star-Crossed,” an untitled military medical drama produced by “Grey’s Anatomy’s” Zoanne Clack, the comedy “Splitsville” from “Trophy Wife” duo Emily Halpern and Sarah Haskins, and an untitled drama set in a New York convent.

Rhimes’ production company currently has three series — “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Scandal” and “How to Get Away With Murder” — airing on the network, with “The Catch” set to premiere midseason.
