Kevin Costner in Talks for Ariel Vromen’s ‘Criminal’

Kevin Costner is in negotiations to headline Millennium Films’ sci-fi thriller “Criminal,” an individual close to the production has confirmed to TheWrap.

Ariel Vromen (“The Iceman”) is directing.

Costner will play a dangerous and unpredictable criminal who finds himself in unfamiliar territory when a dead CIA operative’s skills, secrets and memories are implanted into his brain, with the government agency hoping that he will finish the mission for them.

Christa Campbell, Lati Grobman, Jason Bloom, Avi Lerner, Trevor Short, Boaz Davidson, Mark Gill are exec producing, with JC Spink, Chris Bender, Kevin King producing.

Costner, last seen in “Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit” and “Man of Steel,” will next be seen in legal drama “Black and White” and sports drama “MacFarland.” He’s repped by WME.
