Donald Trump and Steve Wynn’s battle over the future of Atlantic City could be coming to the small screen.

Spike TV is developing a special-event series based on the book “The War at the Shore” by Richard D. “Skip” Bronson. The project, which Spike has optioned for script development, will focus on the epic five-year battle from 1995 to 2000 between Trump and Wynn, two of the most outspoken and dynamic businessmen of our time. The pair fought a bare-knuckled brawl — with billions of dollars on the line — for control over the seaside resort community.

Kevin Spacey‘s Trigger Street Productions and Giant Pirates Entertainment are teaming with Spike on the project. Trigger Street’s Dana Brunetti will executive produce the project. Giant Pirates’ Troy Searer (“Breaking Bonaduce”) and Ross Jacobson (“Big Sur”), will also executive produce, with Spike TV executive vice president, original series Sharon Levy overseeing the project.
