Kristen Stewart to Play a Lawyer-Turned-Teacher in Kelly Reichardt’s New Drama

The indie movie also stars Michelle Williams, Laura Dern, James Le Gros and Jared Harris

Kristen Stewart is joining Michelle Williams and Laura Dern in Kelly Reichardt‘s untitled indie drama, which has been revealed as a series of vignettes that follows the members of a small Montana community, TheWrap has learned.

Neil Kopp and Anish Savjani are producing the ensemble film, which is expected to shoot in Montana.

James Le Gros and Jared Harris will co-star in the movie, which was also written by Reichardt, who previously directed “Night Moves” and “Wendy and Lucy.”

Stewart will play a lawyer from Boise who commutes several hours to a teaching job, through which she develops a friendship with a local woman who audits her class.

Williams is playing the wife of Le Gros, who carries on a relationship with Dern’s character.

Stewart, who can currently be seen alongside Julianne Moore in “Still Alice,” next stars opposite Nicholas Hoult in Drake Doremus’ “Equals” and opposite Jesse Eisenberg in Nima Nourizadeh’s “American Ultra.” She’s represented by the Gersh Agency.
