Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader Heckle Reporter Who Clearly Has Not Seen Their Movie (Video)

Denver entertainment reporter Chris Parente poses one seemingly non-sequitur question to the “Skeleton Twins” duo and will never live it down

A routine press appearance went wrong when a reporter made a gaffe and sent “The Skeleton Twins” stars Bill Hader and Kristen Wiig into hysterics.

The former “Saturday Night Live” duo were being interviewed via satellite by entertainment reporter Chris Parente on a local Denver morning news show on Thursday. At first Parente asked typical questions about the comedians doing something different in the film, which is more of a drama with comedic elements.

Then suddenly Parente joked that he was thinking about doing the rest of the broadcast completely nude, and asked Wiig for some pointers. The actress and Hader were both clearly taken off guard by the non-sequitur. When Parente  interjected that he asked because Wiig goes full frontal in the film, they realized he was talking about a different project altogether.

“Welcome to Me” is the film Parente was thinking of, and while he tried to laugh himself out of his gaffe by joking along with the now hysterically laughing actors, they didn’t let him forget that they knew he didn’t actually see their movie. Which, for Parente and others who have yet to see it, is about a pair of estranged, suicidal siblings who attempt to reconnect.

“I’m nude in this film, and I’m upside down the entire time,” Hader joked. “The movie takes place on Mars!”

Parente finally fessed up and promised to see the film when it opens in Denver, and left the segment with a seemingly prophetic message, “I will never work in Hollywood again,” though not before Hader called him out one more time for his gaffe.
