Lady Gaga has a message for the haters: Leave Kanye alone.

Amid reports that rapper Kanye West was hospitalized on Monday for a mental health condition, “Joanne” singer Gaga took to Twitter to defend the musician — and to warn people not to make light of the situation.

“It’s not funny to joke about anyone’s possible or not possible mental illness, this is a sensitive time for many,” Gaga wrote Wednesday. “Let’s be kind & loving.”

The “Poker Face” singer added that while she doesn’t always see eye-to-eye with West, she’s hoping that the rapper will be treated with compassion during his reported plight.

“While I don’t agree with everything he does I hope the public shows compassion and ❤️for @kanyewest and each other. One love. One Race,” Gaga wrote.

Gaga concluded by praising West for his courage in canceling the remainder of his “Saint Pablo” tour so he could “take care of YOU.”

Alas, not everyone was on board with Gaga’s message of compassion. One reply to her posts read, “Shut up dyke, ‘Joanne’ flopped,” a reference to her most recent album.

West was hospitalized on Monday after canceling the remaining dates of his tour.

Los Angeles police responded to a medical welfare call at about 1:20 p.m., and West was hospitalized for his own health and safety, according to NBC News. No criminal activity was reported.

The rapper had demonstrated some erratic behavior over the past week, including ranting about Beyoncé and Jay Z on stage and ending concerts early.

West also made headlines during a recent concert in San Jose, when he praised president-elect Donald Trump, saying that he would have voted for Trump if he had bothered to vote in the November election.
