Things are getting nasty in season 6 of “Downton Abbey,” so nasty in fact that one member of the aristocratic Crawley family loses her decorum and drops some salty language.

The Julian Fellowes period drama’s final season won’t premiere Stateside until January, but the penultimate episode will air this weekend in the U.K. and it’s dramatic.

A new teaser for the episode was posted on YouTube reveals an epic showdown between Lady Mary (Michelle Dockery) and her long-suffering sister Lady Edith (Laura Carmichael).

In the 23-second clip, the two are seen facing off, which is nothing new. But what is new — Lady Edith drops her stiff upper lip and unleashes an epic rant.

“I know you. I know you to be a nasty, jealous, scheming bitch,” Lady Edith tells her sister. Unfortunately, the clip ends before Lady Mary responds.

The footage also shows Mr. Carson (Jim Carter) warning that the Crawley family is on the brink of being dragged into a “local brouhaha.”

Whew! That’s a lot to take in.

A second trailer posted on YouTube Tuesday shows even more tension.

In another development, Lily James, whose star power soared after she appeared in the hit Disney film “Cinderella,” confirmed that her character will return for the show’s highly-anticipated Christmas special, in which the series will conclude.

“It was amazing going back after a break. You are just totally re-inspired by the wonder of it, that grand house against grey skies and all the friends you haven’t seen in so long,” James told Harper’s Bazaar.

The actress’ character, Lady Rose, is rumored to be pregnant. James didn’t get into that. But she did say she loved working on the series.

“Downton Abbey” returns to PBS at 9 pm on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016.
