The awards were handed out on the red carpet in advance of the 22nd Screen Actors Guild Awards
“Mad Max: Fury Road” and “Game of Thrones” have won the Screen Actors Guild Awards for the best performance by a stunt ensemble in a motion picture and television series, respectively.
The awards were announced by SAG Awards committee chair JoBeth Williams and vice chair Daryl Anderson during the red carpet lead-in to the 22nd annual SAG Awards, which are taking place on Saturday night.
“Mad Max” won in a category that also included “Everest,” “Furious 7,” “Jurassic World” and “Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation.” A full 103 of the movie’s stunt performers were named in the citation.
“Game of Thrones” won the SAG stunt award for the fourth consecutive year, giving it half the awards ever handed out in the eight-year-old category.
Its competition consisted of “The Blacklist,” “Homeland,” “Daredevil” and “The Walking Dead.”
