Marco Rubio Apologizes for Poor Performance in GOP Debate (Video)

“That will never happen again,” Republican presidential candidate promises supporters

Marco Rubio apologized for his poor showing in the New Hampshire primary and blamed his performance in last weekend’s GOP presidential debate.

During a speech to supporters on Tuesday night, Rubio took the responsibility for what many have described as a robotic performance on the debate stage.

“I’m disappointed with tonight,” the Florida senator said. “I want you to understand, our disappointment tonight is not on you. It’s on me. I did not do well on Saturday night, so listen to this. That will never happen again.”

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie roasted Rubio during the most recent debate, criticizing him for repeating pre-planned lines and brief talking points. Rubio finished fifth in New Hampshire, behind Donald Trump, John Kasich, Ted Cruz and Jeb Bush. Rubio did manage to beat Christie, though.
