Brad Pitt‘s “Allied” co-star Marion Cotillard broke her silence about being caught up in the rumors surrounding Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie‘s divorce.

The actress posted her response on Instagram on Wednesday, denying reports that she had an affair with Pitt that led to the split, while also announcing that she’s pregnant with her second child.

“I am not used to commenting on things like this nor taking them seriously but as this situation is spiraling and affecting people I love, I have to speak up,” she wrote.

“Firstly, many years ago, I met the man of my life, father of our son and of the baby we are expecting. He is my love, my best friend, the only one that I need,” she continued.

“Secondly to those who have indicated that I am devastated, I am very well thank you. This crafted conversation isn’t distressing.”

She went on to wish Pitt and Jolie “peace in this very tumultuous moment.”

Following the shocking news that Jolie had filed for divorce, Page Six reported that a source said Jolie split from Pitt after she learned that he had an affair with Cotillard.

In divorce filings, Jolie listed September 15 as the official date of separation, and cited  “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split.

The actress also requested sole physical custody of their six children, offering Pitt visitation rights and joint legal custody.

Pitt officially adopted three of Jolie’s children, while Jolie gave birth to three more children of their own over the course of their relationship, which started in 2004 on the set of the married-assassins action flick “Mr. & Mrs. Smith.”

This is going to be my first and only reaction to the whirlwind news that broke 24 hours ago and that I was swept up into.
I am not used to commenting on things like this nor taking them seriously but as this situation is spiraling and affecting people I love, I have to speak up.
Firstly, many years ago, I met the man of my life, father of our son and of the baby we are expecting. He is my love, my best friend, the only one that I need.
Secondly to those who have indicated that I am devastated, I am very well thank you. This crafted conversation isn’t distressing.
And to all the media and the haters who are quick to pass judgment, I sincerely wish you a swift recovery.
Finally, I do very much wish that Angelina and Brad, both whom I deeply respect, will find peace in this very tumultuous moment.
With all my love
Marion
