Yahoo! CEO Marissa Mayer is sorry she overslept.

Mayer came under fire last week after she failed to hit the snooze button and nearly missed a dinner meeting put together by major ad firm Interpublic Group during the Cannes Lions festival in France. One executive reportedly left before she finally arrived.

“I think the dinner is unfortunate how much attention it’s gotten,” Mayer told Bloomberg. “I was late. I apologized to IPG at the time and in no way meant for it to be a slight to them.”
