In keeping with its Casey Anthony-fueled ratings bump, HLN drew the biggest audience in its 29-year history yesterday.
Sparked by the reading of the trial's verdict at 2:15 pm, which drew 5.2 million viewers, HLN’s 2 p.m. hour set the mark.

It also helped HLN squash its competition, besting Fox News Channel by 79 percent and MSNBC by 466 percent in that time slot.
Nancy Grace, who has been rabidly following this story for three years now, registered 2.88 million viewers at 8 p.m., a best for her. Even re-runs of Grace at 9 p.m. bested FNC's Sean Hannity in both total viewers and the 25-54 demogrpahic.
Her coverage of the trial also turned Grace into a phenomenon on social media, as she earned 89,000 Facebook fans during the past week alone.
