Staffers at Condé Nast’s headquarters in Times Square were told to evacuate building on Wednesday.
According to Gabriel Sherman, there was “talk of a suspicious package in truck.”
It’s unclear whether or not the apparent evacuation is related to a CBS 2 report that part of Times Square was shut down by the New York City Police Department due to a “suspicious vehicle” that had been parked in the area.
“Police blocked off Broadway at 42nd Street just after 11 a.m. Wednesday to investigate a white 1992 Dodge van with tinted windows that has been parked at the location for two days.”
”The NYPD's emergency service unit and bomb squad have positioned themselves around the vehicle, which is parked on the west side of the street between 41st and 42nd.”
There was also a report that employees at the nearby Nasdaq building was forced to evacuate.
