Ratings: ’60 Minutes’ Rerun Tops ‘Sunday Night With Megyn Kelly’ Premiere in Total Viewers

Former Fox News Channel star beats newsmagazine competition in 18-49 and 25-54 demographics, however

Megyn Kelly’s NBC primetime debut topped CBS’ “60 Minutes” repeat among adults 18-49 and 25-54, but it did not in terms of total viewers. Of course, ABC dominated Sunday with Game 2 of the NBA Finals anyway.

“Sunday Night With Megyn Kelly” bowed to a 0.8/4 and 6.1 million viewers. CBS’ “60 Minutes” received a 0.6/3 and 6.6 million viewers. Both aired at 7 p.m.

ABC was first in ratings with a 4.9 rating/18 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and in total viewers with an average of 13.6 million, according to preliminary numbers. At 7, “Jimmy Kimmel Live Game Night” posted a 2.5/11 and 8.1 million viewers. At 7:30, “NBA Countdown” landed a 2.9/12 and 8.3 million viewers. The Golden State Warriors’ Game 2 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers at 8p.m. ran for the rest of the night, lifting the Disney-owned network’s averages.

NBC was second in ratings with a 1.0/4 and third in viewers with 4.67 million. An encore of “American Ninja Warrior: USA vs. the World” filled out primetime behind Kelly’s interview with Russian president Vladimir Putin.

Fox was third in ratings with a 0.5/2, but fifth in viewers with 1.2 million, airing entirely reruns.

CBS and Univision tied for fourth in ratings, both with a 0.4/2. CBS was second in total viewers with 4.75 million, running all repeats; Univision was fourth with 1.4 million.

Telemundo was sixth in ratings with a 0.3/1 and in viewers with 702,000.
