Michelle Obama Reveals Post-White House Plans to Stephen Colbert: ‘I Want to Go to Target’ (Video)

“I also want to do little things like open a window,” the first lady says on “The Late Show”

Stephen Colbert hosted Michelle Obama on Monday’s “Late Show,” on which the first lady admitted she’s counting down the days remaining on her husband’s presidency and looking forward to being a normal person.

There are a few pretty basic things on Obama’s bucket list for the 2016 election turnover.

“I also want to do little things like open a window,” she said. “I want to go to Target. I want to drive.”

“I can’t open my windows, I really can’t,” Obama continued. “The window opens — if I press it in the car, everybody’s like, ‘Oh my God, what was that?’”

“One day as a treat, my lead agent let me have my windows open on the way to Camp David,” she recalled. “It was like five minutes out, and he was like, ‘The window’s open, enjoy it.”

Of course, there are some more sincere things that Mrs. Obama would like an opportunity to do before she transitions back to being a citizen.

“Having some movement on girls’ education — because this is the kind of work that Barack and I, we want to do long after we leave the White House,” she told Colbert.
