A bit more than two weeks after attending a pair of fundraisers in Beverly Hills, President Obama will raise Hollywood money in New York on Thursday, collecting dollars at a campaign event hosted by Harvey Weinstein and Peter Chernin, Politico reported Tuesday.

HBO co-president Richard Plepler, actress Mariska Hargitay, Architectural Digest editor-in-chief Margaret Russell, "Man Shops Globe" host Keith Johnson, producer Elizabeth Redleaf also are listed as hosts of the event, a "dessert reception."

Michael Smith, the interior designer who redecorated the White House residence, will open his home for the $10,000-per-person fundraiser.

Chernin is a former employee of Rupert Murdoch, the famously conservative chairman of News Corp.

Both Chernin and Weinstein are long-time supporters of the president.

The Weinstein Co. and the president's re-election campaign have not responded to a Wrap request for comment.

Weinstein hosted an event featuring the president in August. For that fundraiser, Obama visited Weinstein's house.

He also sponsored a private dinner and screening of the movie "Bobby" in 2006, when Obama was a senator. Obama and Sens. Chuck Schumer (D-NJ) and Frank Lautenberg (D-NJ) were among the guests at that dinner.

Chernin sponsored a fundraiser at his Los Angeles home this past October, although Obama did not attend.
